On Behalf of | Oct 20, 2021 | Personal Injury |

Those who travel through or reside in cities throughout Kentucky know that heavy traffic is just something they’ll have to deal with. Driving on crowded and congested roadways is nerve-wracking and can be dangerous. Naturally, the odds for accidents increase when more vehicles are sharing the same roadways. Unfortunately, motor vehicle accidents are one of the leading causes of personal injury in the United States.

Head-on collision

Recently, an accident in Calloway County left two drivers suffering injuries. The incident happened during the morning hours on KY 94. According to reports from the Kentucky State Police, the driver of an SUV was headed east on KY 94 when, for unknown reasons, he crossed the centerline of the roadway and collided head-on with a westbound pickup truck.

Injuries

Reportedly, the driver of the pickup truck was injured and taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities said the driver of the SUV was also injured and was airlifted to a medical center. Kentucky State Police said the accident is still being investigated.

It is impossible to predict the actions of other drivers. Unfortunately, there will always be those who are careless and reckless behind the wheel. Thousands of people are injured every year on roadways across the country. In the state of Kentucky, any individual who suffers personal injury due to the negligence of another party has the right to take legal action and contact a skilled litigator. Compensation from a successful lawsuit could help victims pay medical expenses and recover lost wages.
